day 2

ok, so we are in aspen right now. staying in a hotel on the main drag of town. found it for cheap its cause its out of season right now. anyways, i will talk about day 2,

we stayed at sugerite canyon. we experienced 14 degree weather for the first night. we slept in the tent. it was a bit cold. no one really got good sleept. the next morning we drove over to the lake. it was completely froze over. it was a sight. after that. we headed out to the great sand dunes afterwords.

on the drive to the sand dunes, the rockies revealed themselves. a very beautiful sight. picture perfect.

the drive was good. we arrived to the location. it was a bit windy. by a bit i mean alot. i was wearing shorts, the sand kept stinging my legs. the air was dry and constantly blowing. my lips turned chap. and got sand everywhere else. we hiked into the dunes. it was pretty rough. our feet sinking into the sand made it rough. but it was fun to experience this weather and scene. could only imagine what our boys in afghan and iraq go through.

we embark to colorado springs afterwords. we camped in between NORAD and ft. carson. literally a stone through away from each other. the camp site was prestine and very clean. we think it was made to cover something up. just like the xfiles movie. where they find that pit near dallas with something top secret and the next day there is a new playground.

well that pretty much summarizes the second day.
i will get someone to load up pictures, there are so many and dont feel like going through them right now.
